I've been losing myself in words forever, writing an essay about death at the age of 8. A solitary extrovert, I discovered joy and solace in reading and my first grown-up job was with the English publishing house Chatto & Windus. Since those halcyon days, I’ve written a book and written about books, curated literary festivals, presented a book programme, and interviewed many writers and artists. A frustrated actress, I also love theatre, film, ballet and opera – attending, writing and talking about them. Travel is a great passion too and a facility with words has helped fund my wanderlust.
